Winter Closing
As students begin making winter break plans, we ask that they remember all residential units (including program houses) must be vacated by Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 12:00 noon ET. Only students who have been pre-approved by the Office of Residential Life can remain in their rooms after Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM noon ET.
Students who have not been pre-approved are not permitted in University Residences, including apartments and wood frame houses. Unapproved students will be asked to leave campus, will be charged with a Failure to Comply and be referred to the Community Standards Board.
Storage
The University offers limited storage to students who are identified as high-need per their financial aid package wherein there is an expected personal contribution of $7,000 or less. Students who qualify for the limited storage offered by the university will receive information from student affairs prior to the end of each semester.
There are a number of different storage options in and around the Middletown area that students can use for their storage needs. The university does not specifically endorse nor works with any storage or moving company. If you are contracting with a storage or moving company you will need to be present to provide them access to the space and items. The Office of Residential Life will not grant access to moving and/or storage companies in the event that you are not present. If you do decide to contract a moving or storage company it is important that you are working in accordance with the outlined closing timelines and deadlines, which you can and should share with the company you choose.
