The Allbritton Center for the Study of Public Life provides resources for faculty scholarship, teaching, and engagement in community collaborations.

  • Davenport Grants, awarded to sophomores and juniors who have “demonstrated intellectual and moral excellence and a concern for public affairs.” Senior theses projects receive priority;
  • offers a variety of grants to support student community engagement initiatives.

We host courses of 做厙TV faculty and visitors:

  • Community-Engaged Learning supports the creation and maintenance of service learning courses;
  • The Koeppel Fellow in Journalism brings to campus each year one or two distinguished journalists to teach a full semester course;
  • We fund and support ad hoc visitor arrangements related to issues of public life.
